This is a quote from
last year by Tim the E
"toy-in Vermont.
from the north or south take route 91 and proceed to exit 7 rt. 11
west and head for Springfield, VT. (if you cross the Connecticut river
on the bridge, that's the wrong way) (unless you are a smoker, cheep
cigarettes in New Hampshire over the river and right at the t in the
road). one mile from 91 you will see the Vermont Coffee and Gift
Store. great coffee, and maple stuff. 2 more miles and you will find
good gas prices at 2 stations (opposite sides of road). at the second
blinking light take a right (stay on 11)and proceed up the hill.
about 1 mile more, (total from 91, 4 mi.) is radio shack to stock up
on batteries. another 1/2 mile there is a shopping plaza on the left.
2 grocery stores and Mickey d's brooks drug store, photo place too.
continuing on at 5.7 miles from 91 is the liquor store. next landmark
is the Precision Valley Corvette Museum (it's free and worth a short
stop) .3 miles more and Alternative Printing is on the right. (I will
be here until 5-6:00 Thursday for early arrivals) 6.4 miles from 91
you will see Reservoir Road on the right. (if you come to a new car
dealership, you missed it) the campground is total 10.5 miles from
91. you will cross into Weathersfield VT on this road.
if you miss reservoir road you can continue on to rt. 106 (it's well
marked) and turn right. follow signs to Crown Point Camping Area.
I will mark the route from the highway with some bright pink signs
saying TOY-IN with an arrow I'll put them out Thursday morning for
earlier.
i will post lots of signs and i will have a rescue service the
campground's phone is 802-263-5555 but you don't have to make
reservations. we have a very nice shaded area all to ourselves.
IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY let me know, via post here if you're definite,
although feel free to just drop in. we'll leave the light on. I'll be
the left-over hippie looking guy!"
